I think if zynga did monthly maintenance on their game server, their wouldn't be so many bugs and issues with everyones games. Inspect Element Console, showed 31 errors, 204 warnings. Harvesting my crops was a very slow lagging pause & run process. Been happening to me for the past couple of weeks, as well. It's definitely a problem with Zynga. The audio portion of the game (birds chirping, cows mooing, ect) works just fine, yet the video portion of the game is slow and jerky. It's getting to be a chore just to play the game.

- Close other apps running in the background
- Reload your browser's page by tapping on the F5 button or Command + R on your keyboard
- Enable/Disable your browser's hardware acceleration (Firefox/Chrome)
- Clear or optimize your browser's cache
- Set the battery performance level to 'High Performance' even when unplugged. This way, the FPS rate should not drop since the performance is still maintained.
Note: Check this when the laptop is connected to the charger.
