Mayer May Not Be started off as a band put together for a one-off gig at Brandon University. The band members, who are all current BU music students or alumni, all bring their own tastes and personal styles to the group, creating a unique, cohesive, and exciting energy. Originally a John Mayer cover band (hence the punny name), the group has since expanded their repertoire to include a wide range of pop, funk, blues, R&B, and soul music. Be ready to move, because groove is what Mayer May Not Be does best!

The Vincent Massey and Crocus Plains Neelin Jazz Ensembles are comprised of students from Grade 9 to 12. They rehearse regularly throughout the school year, and perform at numerous school and community events. Recent performances include the Winnipeg Jazz Orchestra Workshops, the 10th annual Jazz at the 40, the Brandon Jazz Festival, and the Canadian Rocky Music Festival in Banff, Alberta. We are looking forward to sharing our favourite tunes of the year with the community in Brandon!

Come out for a lively hand clapping, sing along and entertaining evening of shameless Celtic, Folk and a wee bit o' Country music by Shameless Folk. They bring their own unique sense of humour and banter to everything they do. A good time will be had by all. The group consists of Bruce Dunlop: Vocals, Guitar & Banjo, Kerry Skinner: Vocals, Bass Guitar, Fretless Bass, Guitar & Bodhran (Irish Drum) and Bill Turner: Vocals, Accordions, Whistles, Wooden Flute, Ukelele, Jaw Harp, Duck, Cajon(box drum) and Bodhran. They have played annually at the Irish Pavilion at the Brandon Westman Multicultural Festival for many years and at the 2018 Provincial Women's Curling Playoffs in Killarney. They are very busy on the local scene and peform frequently at local Assisted Living Facilities in and around Brandon. The group was formerly known as The New Celtic String Band and has been together since 2013. .

The Monterey Jammers are a group of 11 musicians from Brandon and the surrounding area who come together at Monterey Estates to make music. At one point or another, almost every member has lived at Monterey Estates, and the band meets there weekly to jam and have fun. The members have extensive musical backgrounds and histories with many groups, including, but not limited to: The Syncopaters, Fantasy Fiddlers, Ken Carter Squire’s Band, Scotty McIntosh Big Band, The Williamson Band, The Mark Humphries Big Band, The Happy Gang, and The Music Makers. Come see the Monterey Jammers to hear some great music and have some good old-fashioned fun!

Until It's No Fun is a band (like the name says) that exists to have fun. Everyone in the group is a seasoned musician with years of experience in various kinds of music. They have brought their talents together in a great melting pot to bring a wide variety of music to any event. Polly Schoonbaert, on Lead Vocals hails originally from New Brunswick and brings her East Coast charm and back ground in Classis Rock,Pop & Country. Kerry Skinner on Vocal, Bass and Bodhran (Irish drum) has played in many bands. He has experince in many musical fields including Blues,Folk,Celtic, Pop and Classic Rock. Bruce Dunlop Vocals, Guitar and Banjo has many years in Folk and Celtic music. Ken Stelmack Vocals , Accordion and Cajon(box drum) is our Polka King and has experience in musical theater and choirs. The band brings a light hearted attitude to all it does and refuses to take itself too seriously. They'll be happy to play 'until it's no fun'.

After a short tour in Europe to kick off 2018, he’s back in Canada recording his next album set for a July 2018 release, followed by a release tour in Canada, China and Australia. His style of rock and roll is infused with earthy roots and blues while subtly laced in psychedelic ear candy. It’s a raw, gritty, and organic sound that makes the soul feel wild and the heart comforted.
